I've got a friend who is working as a Technical sales person in a company in UAE. The company is primarily a hardware based on that sells Hardware products to SMBs, as a sub contractor from original manufacturers.

He is two years into the sales field, but he really want to get into the software selling business, for that where should he start and how to work his way into the startup field with his sales expertise?
