Ask HN: Any US based PCB makers?

by usermac on 4/7/25, 2:22 PM with 2 comments

When I search using the search engines, they lie and tell me about a maker who I know is not US based or am I wrong and they have a plant here in the US?

There are many, but they are mostly uninterested in dealing with small projects because they have more than enough business already. There are a lot of small prototype PCB manufacturers in and around the Bay Area but expect to pay four figures minimum for a board turn.

OSH Park is pretty great for prototyping. $5-20 / square inch depending on the board type. I remember running into some constraint limits years ago but they may have improved since then.
