Show HN: Updates to Quality News, Our Alternative HN UI

  Hi HN

  I thought I'd announce some updates to Quality News, our alternative HN client:

  1. Retention of Story Stats Charts

  Story Stats/Charts pages (example: https://news.social-protocols.org/stats?id=42802210) no longer 404 after 30 days.

  We notice that people on HN were sometimes sharing links to these pages (example: https://hn.algolia.com/?dateRange=all&page=0&prefix=true&que...), and we felt guilty when those links would break. So we now keep story stats pages indefinitely.

  2. New Ranking Algorithms

  We've implemented some new ranking algorithms at https://news.social-protocols.org/algorithms

  For example, https://news.social-protocols.org/penalties shows stories that have probably been penalized by HN moderators, and https://news.social-protocols.org/resubmissions shows stories that have been randomly selected from the second-chance pool (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26998308) and added to the front page.

  Honestly its not that different then the original HN beside the upvote rank. If you could make the post Reddit like, i think its already a good improvement. Make each post like, tittle then below it is a summary or little bit of the post description would be nice. Also is the Show HN part didn't have the new Show HN part?
