  Lol... I am unable to do my job and likely won’t be able to for months, as the Slovakian Land Registry has been down for four days now due to ransomware attack (we assist U.S. families in reclaiming forgotten properties in Slovakia and Czechia that once belonged to their ancestors).

  Few details:

  • Over $1 trillion in assets remain frozen as the Slovakia Land Registry has been completely shut down since January 5th. • Hackers have encrypted the entire database and are demanding millions of dollars in ransom. • The system is paralyzed—no property transfers, no mortgages are being processed. • Rumors suggest complex backups were not created, potentially extending recovery efforts by weeks or even longer.
