I find talking to strangers very easy: I just talk to them and usually we end up talking hours, multiple days and even become friends. Have been doing that since I was about 18 (I am in my 50s now); I ended up sleeping at/with people countless times. It seems a lot of people find this very hard to do but it works so far in all countries I have been, although warmer climates make it easier; people seem more open to it.

I must say it that it does make me very happy indeed. Much better than that online nonsense.

Someone talking to strangers to learn a language frequently got variations of the annoyed response: Why are you talking to me? He then explained he was learning the language and everyone seemed oddly cool with that. I don't know if it is the same for doing it to preserve your sanity but seems worth a shot.

What a way to ruin the day of introverts and autistic people. Please just leave us alone.
