This injunction is a trap, and we'll see if the Supreme Court steps in it.

The lawsuit has plaintiffs from all over the US, but each with some tiny roundabout sliver of a connection to Texas. It really should have been filed in the federal circuit of DC, but the Obama-appointed judge used those tenuous connections to say that the 5th circuit was the right place. And since the plaintiffs are spread out, his hands are tied and he has to issue a nationwide injunction. Funny how that works.

Well, if the Supreme Court allows it, all the liberal-leaning districts are going to be issuing nationwide injunction after nationwide injunction over the next 4 years using this same logic.

What I’m beginning to realize is that we may already be in the midst of a growing battle against the lack of corporate governance. Where the complete lack of corporate oversight is causing a systemic destruction of our society. It sort of reminds of the actual union battles against oil and steel companies all the way back in 1892 (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestead_strike)

What can an average person do about this?

    Dissapointing but not surprising
