Foursquare is shutting down

    Although it became harder in recent years to find recommendations for newer businesses, Foursquare has always been way more reliable for me than Google Maps reviews (where almost everything has at least 4 stars). Hopefully, they're just reintegrating everything into Swarm.

    End of an era. Yet, I've not needed to use it in YEARS because for me, Google Maps has just been good enough, or in some areas, better even.

    I remember if you checked into a ferry port you could unlock an “I’m on a boat” badge. Was fun to use in those early days.
