What do you have to do to get considered at Airbnb?

What the title says :)

I'm applying for Senior Software Engineer roles for which I think I'm a good fit, my resume usually generates at least a call for a quick screen even with big popular companies, but with Airbnb it's been one automated "thanks for applying" response after another.

Anything obviously wrong with the resume?

Any recruiters able to do something manually to get you considered?

I'm aware this is a self-centered question, but for what it's worth I think any answers would be useful to many other people on HackerNews!

Your experience is slightly out of order - Grindr should be ahead of Expedia. I don't think that's the reason entirely, though, but as a recruiter I'd tilt my head and squint at that.

My advice is to find someone you're connected with at Airbnb, even if its a 3rd degree connection, and see if they'll refer you.

Also have you done a diff between your resume and the job descriptions? If you've applied to multiple, it might be useful to see if there's a common denominator between them that could explain why you're not getting a callback.

Lastly, don't stress about one company :) They're probably just inundated with apps and its taking forever to get back to people.
