Ask HN: What macOS apps/programs do you not recommend? And why

It's a playful but curious topic. When this has been asked in reverse (which do you use) it often throws up this question quite soon into the discussion.

Photos and iTunes, promised so much with Digital Life, but their previous abject fails convinced me to look elsewhere.

    I recently started looking at Raycast over Alfred, but from what I saw, people have concerns about it being VC funded and other privacy stuff.

    Chess, Books and other preinstalled apps that you can’t remove for this exact reason.
