    Interesting read.

Apparently, a lot of this expansionism is an attempt to restore China to it's original boundaries - prior to the "Century of Humiliation" (1)

You would think we could all just learn from the past and move into the future peacefully. Unfortunately, some people clearly can't simply be cool (I'm not saying China is the only one acting childish, clearly Russia wants the to live in post nuclear winter Gattaca, and the US can be just as dumb).

It's really quite silly that in an attempt to erase 100 years of shame, China's swiftly working towards yet another (win or lose a conflict - there actually is no winning).

The question I have is will China be strong and evolved enough to abandon its march on people's homes who are happy just as they are so that we exit this decade with a peaceful, powerful, and revered China, or will we end up with another bloody greedfest and a China that makes everyone else in the world just down right miserable and disgusted. To me, the latter would be most humiliating. I would opt for the former.
