  Hey Hacker News, I rely on the communitiy's knowledge when it comes to these things, so the question is what is Up Phone and is it legit?

  The Up Phone website doesn't have many implementation details so I'm skeptical.

  What is Hacker News' knowledge on this phone w.r.t. privacy and security?

  the website has almost no info on who's behind this...is it even a company? where are they based? They don't explain why either.
