> We are reaching out to you to inform you that after careful consideration, we have decided to end support for Amazon QLDB, effective July 31, 2025.
> As an active Amazon QLDB customer, you can continue to use the service as normal, including create new ledgers in your active account, until July 31, 2025. After this date the service will no longer operate, and any data that has not been migrated away from Amazon QLDB will be permanently deleted.
> To assist you with the offboarding process we have published a blog post [1] to guide you through next steps, including how to use Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition as an alternative for audit use cases and instructions on how to migrate or export QLDB ledgers in and off AWS.
> If you need help planning your ledger migration or choosing the right destination for your ledger data, please contact your AWS Solutions Architect or open a support case with Amazon QLDB [2]. If you do not take any action, your data stored in Amazon QLDB will be deleted on July 31, 2025.

The fact that AWS doesn't just shut down services is part of what made it so appealing compared to things like GCP. The story about how SimpleDB is still around has become legendary.
