The deadline for submitting this year is July 31: https://coller-dolittle-24.sites.tau.ac.il/

I developed the only Android app for chatting with dolphins using underwater whistles, DC Dolphin Communicator, available for free on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=sm.app.dc . Currently, I am working on a version for both Android and iOS using Kotlin Multiplatform which will be easier to modifier quickly.

I am reaching out to explore potential collaboration opportunities and I am willing to share the source code with a trusted entity to support this effort. Currently the code is proprietary.

Additionally, I have recently authored two short essays on communication with dolphins that you may find interesting:

- [How to Chat with Dolphins](https://github.com/smasse/Serge-Masse/blob/main/How-to-chat-with-dolphins.md)

- [Probable Phases of Communication with Dolphins](https://github.com/smasse/Serge-Masse/blob/main/phases.md)

For a system communicating with dolphins without human interventions, the tasks are immense but doable. It may require at least 1 to 2 years of continuous efforts (close to the time-limit for the prize), or it may require a decade. The most difficult technical components are the assignment of probable meanings to vocalizations, and their acquisition, in real-time. DC currently works in real-time with a subset of dolphin whistles. And there is more to it than whistles. At least whistles are a good start for many dolphin species.

Warm regards, Serge
