Interesting hardware, but there's little mention of software support and no price listed. I have a feeling if you sprung for this you would be buying an expensive project with lots of driver work left to do. Hope your Mandarin is good enough to read the tech manuals that will probably be near impossible to obtain and full of errors.

If priced well that could cover a lot of practical use cases. The problem is going to be with pricing - lower end Intel stuff this competes against is incredibly cheap. Still, being a Chinese SOC this should have a substantial domestic market, for tech sovereignty and security.

If the selling point of RISC-V is openness, then every RISC-V OEM so far has received an F for bundling in completely closed source graphics, that will likely never allow kernel updates past the manufacturer/Imagination's extremely limited support cycle.
