Ask HN: How to Get the First 100 Users in the Global Market?

by walt_wu on 5/27/24, 1:18 PM with 0 comments

We’ve developed a tool called EverCraft, designed to simplify file management for users who find Git too complex. Our goal is to help people, especially non-programmers like mechanical engineers, designers, and project managers, manage their files efficiently without resorting to complicated version control systems or endless file renaming.

【Current Progress】

1.Launched in China: EverCraft was launched in China this January and has already garnered nearly 5,000 users. 2.Expanding Globally: We are now aiming to enter the global market but are unsure how to effectively start and attract our first 100 users internationally.

【The Challenge】

We are struggling to attract our first 100 users in the global market.

1.SEO Difficulties: Competing against well-established file managers with decades of history makes it hard to gain natural traffic through SEO. 2.Target Audience: While Git is popular among programmers, our target audience includes non-programmers who need efficient file management but are not familiar with Git. 3.Visibility: It’s tough to get noticed in a crowded market of file management tools and version control systems.

Given these challenges, how can we effectively attract our first 100 users for EverCraft in the global market? We’re looking for strategies or channels that have worked for others in similar situations. Any insights on marketing, outreach, or user engagement would be greatly appreciated!
