Top climate scientists expect global heating to blast past 1.5C target

  The writing has been on the wall for years. For every warning that we have to do something _now_, policymakers did nothing. It might not be too late for 1.5C theoretically, but it's not like now is the moment our politicians will get their shit together. Nothing will happen until it's too late and the consequences are unforeseeable. Will the gulf stream stop and kill Europe through winter? Will global warming make 80% of my country uninhabitable?

  I wish I knew so I could prepare. I'm not a prepper, but I wish I could find a way to secure my family for what will happen after the climate catastrophe. Maybe it'll be ok for us rich nations because we'll build higher walls and more ACs and anyone trying to immigrate will just die? But maybe not. It really scares me more than I'm willing to admit
