Tell HN: Phind.com Now Requires a Login

up until yesterday https://phind.com was basically free. now it requires a login.

sad day.

can I ask the guy who runs phind: what lead to this decision?

    Phind co-founder here. Due to abuse from certain countries, we are imposing stricter limits on anonymous usage on a country-specific basis. Please feel free to reach out to justinw(at)phind(dot)com if you have any more questions about this.

    Works fine for me without a login.
