I'm a fairly successful software engineer. I'm single, in my mid twenties, and pull in $130k+. However, I'd happily take a 50% pay cut to work three days out of five. I'd like to have more free time to work on my own projects and to focus on other things like travel, hobbies, etc. After a five day work week, honestly I just like to be lazy.
I would not like to go the consultant / freelance route.
Besides a three day work week, another option I'd be happy with is getting a lot of unpaid vacation. Are either of these arrangements feasible?
