From its start, Gmail conditioned us to trade privacy for free services

Was Yahoo Mail any better? Or even a free email from a web host? I always assumed I was giving up some privacy.

But Gmail swallowed up email, and that is so much tougher to forgive.

Goggle has been the biggest disaster of the internet.

Not only are they reading 1/3 of all email traffic in the world, but the worst of it is www search.

With the lack of semantic features in http, the worlds access to the information of the web is only and exactly what goggle wants it to be.

Right. Because Gmail was the first free service on the free Internet.

Aye. And now they want to control email security, not just Gmail security.
