It is quite annoying to receive promotional SMS from contacts without numbers(ex:DPROM), I am on Android, is there any way to block these kind of SMS?

First time I've heard "DPROM", I think you mean AO-MT or just, coloquially, robotexts. Depending on the local law spammers can replace source phone number with a custom string.

On Android you can probably change the messaging app to a custom one, and filter messages there.

If you mean Flash SMS https://help.seven.io/en/flash-sms there are instructions online on how to disable them. Or do you mean normal SMS messages?

DPROM (Drug promotions portal) is an application that is designed to automate the drug promotions and vetting process.

Move to the US or some other country that doesn't allow Alphanumeric sender ids? Or ask your carrier for help?

What is DPROM? I've never heard of sending SMS without a number.
