Why TranslateTribune?
In today's interconnected world, understanding global events requires access to diverse perspectives. However, language barriers and media biases often limit this exposure. TranslateTribune leverages advanced AI to select, translate, and summarize news articles from around the globe, including regions often underrepresented in mainstream media. Our goal is to provide English-speaking users with direct insights from local (Non-English Speaking) perspectives, preserving the original context and meaning.
Features:
- Daily Updates: Fresh news summaries every day.
- Diverse Sources: Content from a variety of countries and perspectives. (See https://github.com/Medusa-ML/TranslateTribune/blob/main/sour... for our list.)
- AI-Powered Summaries: Quick and accurate translations and summaries using the latest AI technology.
Development Principles:
- Privacy by Design: No cookies, minimal JavaScript, and no trackers.
- Security and Reliability: Minimal server logs for operational integrity, with a strong emphasis on data protection.
- Use the right tools for the job: Utilizing state-of-the-art language learning models and efficient tools like Python, Selenium WebDriver via Docker (sooo easy!), and Beautiful Soup 4.
- Open and Accessible: Code designed for portability and ease of use, it's Dockerized and isn't too loaded down with heavy dependencies like (cough LangChain cough).
