  Is anyone surprised? The only shocking thing about this is that they were stupid enough to document all of their shenanigans.

  Most of these monopoly-level mergers reflect nothing less than utter corruption at every level of the system, from the executives to the regulators.

  TL;DR Kroger and Albertsons were hiding a lot of cloak and dagger tactics and industry collision to get the deal closed. At this point, the deal is a zombie
