No doubt the Holy Grail of data brokers is to be the _only_ organisation that has "your personal info". They would be an exclusive supplier, with no competition.
Whereas the Holy Grail for privacy-conscious computer users should be for _no_ organisation to have "your personal info." That includes an advertising-supported browser vendor like Mozilla. Obviously, it excludes merchants organisations with which the computer user commercially contracts where the transfer of personla info is necessary to complete a commercial transaction.
The computer user has no commercial transaction with Mozilla or any data broker. There is no contract of sale. Those organisations are free to use the personal info they collect in any way they choose.
