As for keyboards & mice I've been using vintage for so long until now for a few devices where some interesting products got my attention from the Macally and X9-Performance brands:
Never heard of them until they showed up as overstock for cheap, but they are decent.
I like the bluetooth keyboard for my phone. Also have mouse in bluetooth. Plus the backlit large-print keyboard is really good for typing in low light. And the compact keyboards without the numeric keypad save space, especially when it's more of a workbench than a desk. There can be some funky key arrangements but lots of them are cross-platform between PC and Mac.
It can also be good having the mouse with a variable DPI button.
To move up a notch a fairly entry-level Logitech gaming mouse will give better resolution in the office even if you are not gaming.
