Chromes new Incognito warning admits Google collects your data in "private" mode

    For all practical purposes "Google" is synonymous with "privacy invasion".

    This is shameful fear-mongering. It's not even any kind of "secret" that websites you visit will know you were there. It's literally the first bullet point in the list. Will Google now also be expected to mention that Incognito mode also can't do anything about Amazon or Facebook tracking you, or any of the dozens of other marketing companies that aggregate and collate IP address information to create profiles of people as they wander from website to website? Either you're using a VPN and a TOR browser or you will be tracked by marketing people who simply do not care how private you want to be. It's their literal 9-to-5 job to breach your "privacy".

    I really expected ArsTechnica to know better than to spin this nonsense.
