X for Y is more for angel investor facing first hook where X is a (current) darling startup that angel investors are excited about. the form works because they are forced to invest by feel due to lack of information--and anchoring yourself to X creates a positive association. it is likely too constraining and inarticulate to be helpful with a real investor, and useless with customers for the same reason.
