Done. VIM and Bram have given me so very much; very happy to support. Looking at Bram's GitHub commit chart for 2023 is haunting (https://github.com/brammool). Thanks for everything Bram; We'll miss you.

What a role model of a human being. Bookmarked for the weekend, I'll be making a donation in his honor for sure. Sometimes a cause connects with you and gives you greater purpose, I hope I find myself honestly in such a way. It's always on my mind.

For Canadian taxpayers, another possible option that helps children in Uganda is One4Another, based in Waterloo:

Obviously not Bram's charity and his should be the primary focus, but just throwing this out there.

(Disclosure: I attend the same church as the executive director)

Because it took me so many clicks to find: ICCF == International Child Care Fund

Rich of the richest Kings and Emperors came and went but probably in all known human history - there's not such a selfless and generous movement such as Open Source, of giving away your labour to people you don't even know or would ever know.

    For free.

Revisit some of the numerous anecdotes and memories in the thread on Bram Moolenaar's passing:

Bravo to the designers of this site; I use vim but I've never stumbled onto this version of the help files. Excellent translation of a terminal aesthetic to hypertext, pleasant and utilitarian color choices.
