What if one day OpenAI does discover AGI?

  I doubt AGI will a huge breakthrough when it finally comes. It will be a slog of incremental progress with competitors not that far behind, so the first company that discovers it has a few months or maybe a year in everyone else.

  I'm not worried about when OpenAI discovers AGI - all of us Americans have. I'm worried about when OpenAI discovers the Alternative Minimum Tax. OpenAI is in San Francisco! Like, everyone not on welfare in San Francisco encounters the AMT for no good reason, and the second that AI understands what's going on, things are going to get real weird. Like, all of a sudden there's going to be TaxGPT!
