Ask HN: Is local website mirroring still relevant?

Mostly asking for personal use-cases. In the style of wget or siminar tools.

    In some cases one can just git clone the site, which is really smooth.

    But for the cases where that’s not possible: Sure, why not? Having a backup copy that you control can be very valuable.
