For me the next natural evolution is PaaS. Especially for B2B software. More centralization & standardization of the experience customer-to-customer. Everyone talks to the same URL, web app and database(s). No more special unicorn installs ever again. This is where we are trying to push right now.
I think the real key with a lot of software business is getting more involved in your customer's business. Actually understanding how they are doing what they do and where your software might fall short. You may find an entirely different approach here: Instead of making the software meet the customer, negotiate with the customer such that they adjust their process to align better with the software.
If you can have realistic, human conversations with your customers and partners, you might not need an AI to invent unlimited bespoke experiences. You may find the determinism of "one way of the world" is actually an inherent feature that some customers are explicitly looking for. Not everyone has unlimited creativity and desire to consume esoterica. Many just want to be told what to do and hopefully those orders don't suck.
