Which is the best course you have completed on any topic under the sun?

The topic need not be only tech related (which is the speciality of the majority HN crowd). It can be anything from politics, economics, literature, biology, etc.

Not an actual course, but this how-to book was great. Concise but still provides enough details and technical info. It also has a list of solid resources at the end.

Absolutely the top two classes I ever took were in college

    - Introduction to Terrorism (took is spring '00 - before terrorism got "cool"). Not "introduction to be a terrorist", but an investigation of the socio-religio-economic drivers of terrorism around the world (with a primary focus on Latin America and southeast Asia). This included defending a target against a range of terrorist actions (my group chose an embassy that backed to a river or harbor)

    - Counterterrorism (fall '06; taught by a former member of the Israeli Mossad). The big assignment in this class was to plan a terror attack on the school.
