Show HN: Streamline – A stream-of-consciousness writer for Obsidian

Hey HN, Alexis here!

I've been a long-time journal-writer and Obsidian enthusiast for years.

I want to share an app with you that built and now use every day.

Streamline^1 is a free and open-source^2 native macOS app for people like myself who…

- Take lots of notes in Obsidian and

- Love journaling/stream-of-consciousness writing on pen-and-paper

I built it because I wanted

- The safe space of journaling and

- Easily link to all my my notes in my vault while in “stream-of-consciousness mode” and

- Avoid getting distracted from having too many rabbit-holes from being inside Obsidian

I'm quiet nervous because there is soooo^2 much to say, but it's probably easiest is to just SHOW you.

There's a quick demo video at https://getstreamline.app that you can watch.

So: If you’re one of the two other people who know what I’m talking about, give it a spin and let me know how it goes!

Cheers!

Alexis

PS: There is also a full FAQ section for questions you may have at the bottom. PPS: If you're really curious, I wrote down the "loooooong story" here^4
