EU to Allow Calls on Flights

Thanks but no thanks. I think to this day people still get a little jitter in their nervous system when it comes to phones on an airplane. And it makes sense, they make their safety programs have you believe something bad could happen.

It's kind of like walking in a room with an angry person present, you can feel that. And you can feel people respecting the idea of shutting the phone off if that means their flight is going to be safe and sound.

That said... calls on flights? Man, that sounds absolutely terrible. Sure, very few people fly around all the time. But I would be absolutely pissed if I ended up on a flight where a bunch of the passengers felt so comfortable to just spend 2 hours on a phone chatting shit because they can.

You factor in things like overly-extroverted people, alcohol, someone having a bad day, and so forth, and getting on a flight is suddenly not about security but about whether or not someone will be shouting at their phone for 2-3 hours straight.
