Well, actually we don't take in information. We take in data. That might sound nitpicky but...
We then interpret that data with a model. That model is based on language. It's how we talk to ourselves (so to speak). It's how we communicate with others.
The irony? We don't actually "speak the same language". We might use the same language but a subset there of. Two individuals' subsets are going to create two different models.
Much like genetic diversity and mutations (i.e., evolution) these variations in models create survival advantages, or not. In the context of persistence of the species different models is a natural expectation.
