Commercial repair shops caught snooping on customer data by Canadian researchers

    I think this is a serious issue and most non-technical people underestimate the risk. The most severe case of this issue was the Edison Chen photo scandal in 2008(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edison_Chen_photo_scandal). When the Hong Kong superstar was having his computer repaired, the repairman recovered the deleted photos from the harddisk and later published them. This incident caused an earthquake through the entire Asian entertainment industry and devastatingly ended the careers of several superstars in one fell swoop.

    Cowards. So far in US it was authorized Apple service center posting nudes from client phone, same for Verizon.
