The article misses important part chemical element neon is required in chip manufacturing.
70% of neon was produced by 2-3 stages in Ukraine and Russia and manufacturing is disrupted.
Rest is produced in China.

After watching Dr. Eric Cline's lectures on the Late Bronze Age Collapse, I was struck by the similarities between the LBA's supply chains for making and using bronze and our current supply chains for making and using chips.
