  Reminds me of Rich Hickey's sabbatical he went on to make Clojure. It cost him this retirement but he was able to improve much more than just his own development experience. That's probably the real reason for entrepreneurship. Why go after "spiky", unstable cash flow and burn savings? It's got to matter for other reasons too.

  Basically it boils down to one question: money.

  > - Do you have a monetizable skill?

  > - Have you made your first dollar online?

  > - What's your runway?

  > - Can you deal with uncertainty?

  > - Do you have a support system?

  I quit my job last year and have been working for myself since then. I've been asked by many people about what should they know/do before they quit their job.

  I think these 5 questions can help anyone figure out their path
