The assumptions underlying Charlie's view of the world are invalid. They assume globalization will continue apace, with "the free market" solving all woes. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I think that Peter Zeihan[1], Nate Hagens[2], and Daniel Schmachtenberger[3] are far better guides to the current societal transformations taking place. What's happening will have huge economic effects, not causes.

To start, this explains why social media, and such, can be so nasty and why many of us are never completely satisfied with what we have.
