Seen this on a couple of sites. In one instance I submitted a support ticket that went unanswered for a while and then, out of the blue, good news - the issue has been resolved and you should see your site appearing in search results very soon!
The sites involved have a history of being plagiarised and various negative-seo attacks. No other common pattern I can fathom.
