Why do rich people like quiet?

  Sounds are like smells, and I wonder if someone had written about the pungent odors associated with their ethnic group, how would this author react?

  Personally, I like my quietude and don’t feel like it’s rude to ask people to limit the impact of their byproducts so it doesn’t disturb me.
