I very much like the idea of cryptpad, especially the organization of multiple docs in folders, but to be fully useful in any org it needs a way to store files and documents of any type. Otherwise you'll need to juggle with multiple apps, and integration is not always the best.

Many orgs use Drive, the integration of Docs is a nice bonus but what matters is the storage of docs, images for projects, photos of events, ... I would love to switch some of those orgs away from Google, but there is no easy solution.

TLDR; CryptPad is a 6 years old FOSS project developed by XWiki SAS, a french company who has been doing open-source for 17 years. It aims to replace proprietary, unencrypted services like Google Docs, etc. It runs directly in the browser and the code is licensed under AGPLv3.
