Looks fantastic, will give it a try. One thing I like with SmartAudioBookPlayer on Android is for the sleep timer you can have it give a light chime and then a fadeout period - if you want to extend it you just slap/shake the phone enough to have the gyro or whatever detect motion so you don't need to open your eyes and have the light wake you back up to whatever extent. I didn't see that in the app feature list but it may be there, looks like everything else I like already is. Oh, assuming it lets you listen 'offline' with a local copy :)

Really cool, I'm going to give it a try.

My current setup is to host the audiobooks in a Plex library and use a third party app like Prologue [1] on iOS or Chronicle [2] on Android which both work really well for offline listening and progress tracking.

I've been using this for a couple weeks now. It's clearly in its infancy, there's a lot still to do. But even with what it is so far, it's very well done.

I'm seeing other users commenting in particular that its syncing between player devices is much more robust than any other tools offer.

This looks great! I've been self-hosting something with a similarity idea to. I can update manually, pulling metadata from Audible if available. But my version is currently just a rough set of scripts that lists from a directory and builds a static RSS feed I can listen to in Podcast Addict. The (experimental) built-in ebook reader in this project looks really intriguing to allow both collections maintained together.

It'd be great if this worked well with podgrab[1]. I'll have to check if the folder structure it creates will work with this.

Looks interesting. Must be something in the air, there was Audioserve posted up the other day https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=31713047

Would love to be able to host this on macOS! Great work though. Will keep an eye on it :)

Is there an Alexa skill available to navigate and play my MP3 audio books?
