  Poe's Law preemptive answer: no, I am not being serious (though yes I dislike Beamer) :)

  This was more of a cool project to write advanced (La)TeX, which manages to fascinate and horrify me in equal parts. (Advanced LaTeX includes, for example, file IO which, yes, LaTeX can do.)
