  Definitely brings up some good points. You may as well add new code points for every sexuality that is proposed, it's not like we're ever going to run out of space.

  Contrary to what the article says, I do think that flags change frequently, but (in agreement with the article) that's not Unicode's problem. Its up to Apple and other emoji designers to update them, and it's free PR so why wouldn't they?
