If you take work against your better judgement, then a quality of the dissent or dislike vests back on you: if you dont do your best, you definitely shouldnt have taken the role. If you dont try to head off or warn of the problems, likewise. Leave if you can't subscribe to the aims
If you take work because you have to, you lose a lot of ability to be as flexible. If you have the luxury of choice, bank it.
