Ask HN: Browser Extensions for Migrainers?

by navels on 2/11/22, 4:49 PM with 1 comments

My wife is a migrainer and complains frequently about web pages with dynamic content. She is using an ad blocker (Adblock Plus on Safari) which does help with popups and advertising content but this often isn't enough. Any kind of motion on the page, while usually not enough to trigger a migraine, can be very distracting and frustrating for her.

Any suggestions on what she can try next? Willing to switch browsers if necessary. Thanks!

Try this and see how it goes.

Firefox with uBlock Origin (not to be confused with uBlock), NoScript, uBlacklist.
