Ask HN: Where do you buy electronic cables/wires/peripherals

by yeeetz on 1/16/22, 6:27 PM with 2 comments

For stuff like cables, adapters, and general electronic stuff, all I see on Amazon all I see are random made in China brands with a suspicious amount of 5 star reviews. Are stores like Best Buy/Micro Center or purchasing direct from Apple/Microsoft/Sony/etc. the best bet, or are there still some high quality brands to be found on Amazon and other stores.

Monoprice has been my go to for over a decade. Really easy return policy just in case, but I haven’t gotten a bad cable from them, very good pricing too.

eBay. Unlike Amazon, sellers are rated and have hard incentives to maintain their reputation as sellers.

    Also, sometimes Monoprice.
