NFT event ticketing – a realistic look at a big trend

Blockchain/NFTs have no value for ticketing, and they arguably are worse for consumers. The ticketing database is centralized: the event host decides if the ticket is valid or not.

So what do they do differently? They allow users to transfer a single ticket without notifying the event host or the host's ticketing platform.

That's just going to turn event tickets into an even more speculative market for scalpers than they already were. It improves accessibility and UX for scalpers, not actual fans. That makes tickets artificially rise and probably leads to empty seats. Bad for everyone.
