  How does one "recover" teletext data, you may wonder.

  Apparently, there is software for extracting teletext signal recorded on VHS tapes with the help of a video capture hardware: https://github.com/ali1234/vhs-teletext

  For a few years now I have been trying to resist filling my room/house with old VHS tapes for this purpose. This missing piece of the puzzle is not making it any easier.
