by louwhopley on 12/11/21, 7:46 AM with 6 comments

Hi there! We're looking for a great hosted website service for an early stage startup that covers:

- Nice landing page

- Mobile friendly / lightweight

- Has a blog engine built in (markdown is ok)

- Easy to use (after setup) by non-developers

- SEO / discoverability built in

- Ideally cheap/near-free

What are the reliable and good options out there these days?

If you haven't already, take a look at https://www.saaspegasus.com. I haven't used it, but you might like it. I'm not sure if it satisfies your criteria.

    Near-Free option:

    1. Select from one of 1000's of free responsive HTML5 templates on the web.

    2. Use the templates to create static pages of your website.

    3. Upload those to one of the many free static hosting service like Netlify or CloudFlare Pages.

    4. Buy a domain name and configure it to your free host.

    5. Profit.

(Or alternatively find a free responsive HTML5 template for Blogger and use that to host your site).

You could try out Voog (www.voog.com)! It is an Estonian company, but checks all your boxes.

WordPress is always an easy-to-make choice that you rarely regret.
